Organic honey

Honey has many applications, and even more benefits. Ordinary honey is healthy, sweet and relatively cheap, but there is an organic honey. The first thing you will notice about organic honey is the price. It is several times higher than on standard honey. The explanation for this high price is justified. In order to produce organic honey, manufacturers must meet many standards and conditions during the production. These standards include: source of the nectar, bees management, transportation, honey extraction process, processing temperature and packing materials. After this, the honey is tested for any residues of environmental pollutants or pesticides. If all standards are fulfilled, honey can be sold as organic!

Sadly, there is one problem. These standards vary from country to country. Which means that some organic honey may not be a truly organic! Although, these standards are hard to achieve, only one small thing like wind or bee travel can be responsible for honey contamination! If this happens, honey cannot be sold as organic! It is recommended to find information about standards in countries where the honey you are buying was made. Countries with stricter standards have a better chance that honey made there is truly organic. I also recommend that you pay attention to a number of different plants in those countries. If bees are using more different plants for nectar, the honey will be better! Although, some people are saying that organic honey has much better taste than ordinary, I haven’t noticed that. Personally, I believe that benefits of organic honey are more important than the taste! In any way, every honey is delicious.
